Sunday and the Sickies

Everyone here is just getting over a case of the sickies. Marty, Jimmie, and I have yet to get it. Otherwise, everyone from Lexeigh down has gotten it. It seems to be some kind of summer cold. Fortunately it doesn't last long. Quinn got it the worst with a fever around 103 for awhile. He was one miserable little man. =(

Other than that things have been going pretty well. Marty will be taking Jimmie to Six Flags in a few days to see Skillet perform. Jimmie is crazy excited. Skillet is his favorite band. They're going with the church youth group. Since we have the passenger van now, Marty volunteered to drive and chaperone so the church will cover his costs. They're both really looking forward to it. Lexeigh is a little bummed because she really wanted to go as well but it's only for middle schoolers and up. She's been promised pictures though so she's excited to see those.

Also, I told her we'd take a "Girls Day" when the boys get back and that totally made up for it. She wants to go to a really nice spa here and have a makeover day. Sounds like fun to me! I'm looking forward to that as much as her I think!

Here's some things that made me laugh that I want to remember so I'm putting them here because I figured some of you may get a chuckle out of them too:

1. A little back story- Marty's unit has been on a detail for the month of July. They've been cleaning the area and Marty just happened to be assigned to our neighborhood. Well sometimes if he's close to the house he'll walk over and say hello. One morning, he walked over to the house and was telling Lexeigh and I that they were over behind the house cleaning up the park. Lexeigh said to him: "You were?! Did you get to swing?!"

I thought that was so funny because it just really showed her innocence. She was so serious. It didn't occur to her that they wouldn't break for a swing in the middle of work or that a group of grown men wouldn't stop to swing anyway. LOL

2. Ella walked up to me the other day and said: "Look! This is the sign for puke" and then proceeded to silently pretent to puke into her hands, tongue out, silent gagging at all. It was so funny!

And what's a post without pictures? Here's some of the most recent ones.

Jimmie and Reece. These two are hard to get pictures of so this one is definitely one to save!

Jimmie and Quinny. I love this one too even if it is a little blurry.

Dimpleface!

He always gets silly when I try to take his picture.

It's getting a lot easier to get him to sit for a quick picture. I have to remember to be quick though.

For some reason Andrew loves to lay on the changing table. He's always content there. This time he fell asleep right after a change so we left him there where he was nice a comfy. =)

I think this is funny. We call this the whistle face. Reece used to do it too. Quinn on the left, Andrew right

Jimzy

Sweet little Anjoon. Did I ever mention that Ella calls him that? When she says his name it comes out "Anjoon" instead of Andrew. It's so cute and the rest of us have been calling him that since he came home from the hospital too. Haha

Okay, these next couple are of Marty and Jimmie. This is what they do every. single. night. (almost). They sync their games together and play DS. They get really into and have a lot of fun!

Gamers

They noticed I was taking pictures of them and decided to let me know...

Jimmie was quite amused with himself as you can see. Haha

Here's a few of Lex and Andrew that I really like. He'd poked himself in the eye and it was all red for a few minutes.

She is totally the best big sister ever. <3

We had a little photo session this morning. I wanted to get a picture of all the kids together. I will be back today to post some more pictures. Until then!
