Oh! And Also!

Big news! Maybe not surprising news but big nonetheless, haha.

How Are We Doing You Ask?

We're doing great! We love our new house and it's a much better fit for us. The kids are really enjoying being in a neighborhood with lots of children to play with and have already made quite a few fast friends. With the move keeping us so busy they had a lot of homeschooling work to catch up on. We made a deal: Work as diligently as possible, get everything done and caught up, and we'd have an ice cream party! Well they did and we did and they had a blast.

We also forgot about the terrible ants that live down here in Texas. Reece stood right in a huge mound of them and got eaten alive. Poor boy just stood there and screamed, "ANTS! ANTS!" instead of trying to get away from them. We rinsed him off as fast as we could but we were too late.

(Just pretend his nails aren't painted a flamboyant, sparkly red). We thought he'd be fine so we slathered some anti-itch medicine all over the bites and gave him some Benedryl. Very shortly after he looked like this...

Marty was worried and took him to the ER which wasn't a great experience. We've never had much luck with the hospitals here and this time was no exception. After 3 hours in the ER, Reece had still yet to be seen. His face and body had cleared up by that time and after lots of prayers he was fine. Marty asked for discharge papers and brought him home.

He was back to his silly self in no time and has been busy ever since keeping us on alert. =P

The big kids are doing well and are learning lots. Quinn is getting so very big already and is so proud of himself when he stands up all by himself. His hair is really growing and getting so curly!

Ella is still serious and sensitive. But she also knows how to be silly. She makes us laugh every day. She's talking LOADS! And she's also doing really well in her big girl bed. The other night she heard the front door open. She threw her piggy down next to her, covered him up, and said: "Piggy! Go nigh night! Daddy comin'!" Funny girl.

I have so much more to update and lots and lots more pictures to share but it's been a long night and Mommy is tired. We have lots of little ones to bathe and get dressed in the morning before church. I hope you are all doing well and having a great weekend!
